Two decades of hand-crafted dental ceramics from a master ceramist who personally finishes every restoration that leaves the studio.
Massoudah graduated with honors from the Dental Technology program at Gwinnett Technical Institute. She trained for five years as a ceramist at a multi-specialty dental laboratory, then was invited to join an in-house European-style boutique that catered to a renowned aesthetic and implant center in Buckhead, Atlanta.
Her duties there included shade taking, patient consults, and chairside seating of the most challenging cases. After a year, the owner of the aesthetic and implant center encouraged her to open her own lab — backed by a nationally recognized doctor with over six years of experience in the field, she was ready to make the leap.
Faiz Dental Studio was established in December 2004. Word of mouth brought her several clients within a few months, and she has been working to maintain that consistent quality ever since.
Massoudah's work and perspectives have been published multiple times in Lab Management Today — the dental industry's leading trade publication — including several cover features. From technical case studies to lab management commentary, her contributions reach dental technicians and clinicians across the country.
Continuing education is a huge part of Massoudah's life. She is a regular attendee of hands-on courses on both the functional and aesthetic aspects of dental ceramics. She is an avid reader and embraces new challenges as the means to personal and professional growth.
Massoudah and her husband Sam are proud parents of two daughters, Nadia and Hadia Ryana Faiz.
When she's away from the bench, Massoudah is travelling, cooking, or making frequent visits to art museums — pursuits that quietly inform the eye and craftsmanship she brings back to each case.
